Title: Tyre Technician
Job Responsibilities
- Install, remove, and replace tyres on various types of vehicles, ensuring proper fitment and alignment.
- Conduct inspections to assess tyre condition, tread depth, and signs of wear or damage.
- Perform tyre repairs, including patching punctures, fixing leaks, and repairing sidewall damage, following industry standards and safety guidelines.
- Perform wheel balancing to ensure smooth and vibration-free operation of the vehicle.
- Rotate tyres at recommended intervals to promote even wear and extend tyre lifespan.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment, such as tyre changers, balancers, and alignment machines, to perform tyre-related services.
- Maintain accurate records of tyre services provided, including tyre specifications, repairs performed, and customer information.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations while working with tyres and related equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, recommending suitable tyres, and explaining tyre maintenance best practices.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in tyre technology, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to expedite work and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean service area, including proper storage of tyres, tools, and equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including punctuality, attendance, and dress code standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or unusual incidents to the supervisor or manager.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct while representing the company.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Qualifications
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and inventory management.
- Thorough understanding of tyre repair and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to operate tyre repair tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical fitness.
