Title: Storekeeper
Job Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and quality of delivered items.
- Verify and record quantities and condition of received goods in the inventory management system.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, movement, and location of items.
- Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of stock.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorder requests to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock counts and perform cycle counts to identify and rectify any discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval of items.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous or sensitive materials.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and consumption patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Purchasing, Operations, and Finance, to address inventory-related issues and support business operations.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for inventory management processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory management.
- Assist in the disposal of expired or damaged stock in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in inventory management practices, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift).
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse/store environment.
