Title:  Service Engineer - MTU

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of MTU engines and related systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities on customer equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical issues, both remotely and on-site, using advanced diagnostic tools and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding engine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, retrofits, and performance enhancements.
  • Generate service reports and maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and customer interactions.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and optimize equipment reliability.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and technical developments in MTU engines and related systems to ensure up-to-date knowledge and expertise.
  • Work closely with the service team to ensure timely and efficient resolution of customer issues and inquiries.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during service visits and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and customer support, to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain excellent customer relationships through effective communication and high-quality service. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering.
  • Technical certification or training in diesel engine maintenance and repair
  • Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Diesel engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Automotive industry, specifically in the area of diesel engines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for engine analysis and calibration.

  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engine systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Skills

  • Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and emissions standards
