Title: Senior Auto Denter
Job Responsibilities
- Assess and inspect vehicles to determine the extent of damage and repair requirements.
- Perform advanced dent repair and restoration of vehicle body panels and structures.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to reshape and repair damaged areas.
- Remove, repair, and replace damaged parts, including fenders, doors, hoods, and bumpers.
- Weld or bond damaged parts using appropriate techniques and materials.
- Ensure alignment and proper fitment of repaired parts to meet quality standards.
- Straighten and align vehicle frames and chassis using frame machines and alignment tools.
- Guide a team of junior auto denter technicians, providing mentorship and training.
- Review and prioritize repair orders, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with other members of the Body Shop team, such as painters and estimators, to ensure seamless workflow and quality repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and emerging repair techniques.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Document repair processes, including materials used and labor hours, for accurate recordkeeping.
- Assist in the estimation of repair costs and provide recommendations for additional repairs or services.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Qualifications
- Automotive
- Qatar, GCC
- English
- Basic computer literacy for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and repair manuals.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Skills
- Knowledge of advanced paint application techniques.
- Proficiency in using computerized estimating systems and industry-specific software.
- Experience with computerized measuring systems (e.g., electronic measuring devices).
- Basic computer literacy for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and repair manuals.
