Title: Parts Picker
Job Responsibilities
- Review and interpret parts orders, work orders, and invoices to determine the required parts and accessories.
- Utilize computerized inventory systems to locate and retrieve parts from designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick, pack, and label parts and accessories for customers, ensuring proper identification and documentation.
- Perform quality checks on picked parts to ensure accuracy and verify their condition.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring parts are properly shelved, labeled, and easily accessible.
- Collaborate with the reporting supervisor and Manager to maintain optimal inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of parts, verifying accuracy and checking for damaged or defective items.
- Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including parts shelves, bins, and storage areas.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with other duties within the Parts Department as needed, including assisting customers at the parts counter or providing support during busy periods.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the parts catalog and reference materials.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure efficient and timely delivery of parts.
- Monitor and track back-ordered parts, following up with suppliers to obtain delivery estimates and communicate updates to customers.
- Support the Parts Manager in maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, and exploring new sourcing options.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with parts inquiries, orders, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry, email, inventory management systems).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in picking parts.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
