Title: Marketing Officer
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) team to ensure efficient and timely completion of inspections.
- Set quality standards and guidelines for the PDI process, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles during the PDI process to identify any defects, discrepancies, or issues that require attention.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure compliance with quality standards and address any quality-related concerns.
- Monitor and track the progress of PDI activities, ensuring that vehicles are inspected, repaired, and prepared for delivery within the defined timeframes.
- Train and develop PDI technicians on proper inspection techniques, quality standards, and procedures.
- Ensure that PDI technicians have the necessary tools, equipment, and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with the Parts and Service departments to address any parts or service requirements identified during the PDI process.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of PDI inspections, repairs, and any additional work performed on vehicles.
- Conduct regular meetings with the PDI team to communicate performance expectations, provide feedback, and address any concerns or issues.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the PDI process, such as inspection time, rework rate, and customer satisfaction.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the PDI process.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment within the PDI area.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales, Inventory Management, and Logistics, to coordinate vehicle delivery schedules and resolve any delivery-related issues.
- Stay updated on manufacturer requirements, technical bulletins, and industry best practices related to PDI processes and standards.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints or concerns related to vehicle quality or PDI inspections.
- Collaborate with the Training department to provide training and development opportunities for the PDI team.
- Assist in conducting performance evaluations and providing performance feedback to PDI technicians.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new vehicle models, and emerging technologies related to the PDI process.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Qualifications
- Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for PDI or similar.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, PDI processes, and quality control standards.
