Title:  Inventory Controller

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, item descriptions, serial numbers, and location details.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies, investigating and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory, avoiding stockouts and optimizing stock availability.
  • Analyze inventory data, such as sales trends, turnover rates, and demand patterns, to forecast future inventory needs and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Utilize inventory management software and systems to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and generate reports on inventory status and trends.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and quality inspections, to minimize errors and improve accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, service, and finance, to ensure seamless inventory operations and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of inventory and resolving any supply-related issues or delays.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize inventory storage and distribution, ensuring efficient utilization of warehouse space and minimizing inventory holding costs.
  • Conduct regular analysis of slow-moving and obsolete inventory, implementing strategies to reduce excess stock and minimize inventory write-offs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management, recommending and implementing best practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to reconcile inventory records, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate valuation of inventory for financial reporting purposes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory-related policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Provide training and support to staff members involved in inventory management, promoting a culture of accountability and accuracy.
  • Uphold the company's values, brand image, and operational standards in all activities and interactions.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
